En el marco de la Semana de la India UC3M, la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid acoge la conferencia “Del sánscrito al hindi”, una sesión dedicada a recorrer la evolución histórica, cultural y lingüística que conecta una de las grandes lenguas clásicas de la India con una de sus principales lenguas contemporáneas.
La conferencia será impartida por Jyoti Sharma, profesora titular de la Cátedra de Hindi del ICCR —Consejo Indio de Relaciones Culturales— en la Universidad de Valladolid. La actividad cuenta con la colaboración de Casa de la India y del ICCR.
La conferencia permitirá comprender mejor la diversidad lingüística de la India y la importancia de sus lenguas como vehículo de memoria, pensamiento, identidad y creación cultural.
Actividad con reconocimiento de créditos para el estudiantado de la UC3M a través del Pasaporte de Actividades.

As part of the UC3M India Week, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid hosts the lecture “From Sanskrit to Hindi”, a session devoted to exploring the historical, cultural and linguistic evolution that connects one of India’s great classical languages with one of its main contemporary languages.
The lecture will be delivered by Jyoti Sharma, Chair Professor of Hindi at the University of Valladolid, appointed by the ICCR —Indian Council for Cultural Relations—. The activity is organised in collaboration with Casa de la India and the ICCR.
The lecture will offer a deeper understanding of India’s linguistic diversity and of the importance of its languages as vehicles of memory, thought, identity and cultural creation.
Activity eligible for credit recognition for UC3M students through the Activity Passport.
For the activity to be counted, prior registration in the Activity Passport is required —in addition to seat reservation, where applicable— and attendance must be signed at the end of the activity.
